We are now looking for a teaching assistant for a temporary position at Skogshagaskolan in Västervik.

Your Responsibilities

Your task is to create good conditions for the student's educational development and learning, as well as to provide security and structure in everyday life. Communication with guardians is also part of the job. Your responsibilities also include planning, implementing, and evaluating the work individually and together with other educators at the school according to the school's governing documents and with our vision in mind. Some care work is also included in the role of teaching assistant.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school or post-secondary education in pedagogy, social work, care, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. Previous experience working with students with NPF diagnoses is an advantage.

To fit the role, you need to be able to collaborate easily and build relationships with others. You need to have good ability to cooperate, be receptive, and easily understand other people's perspectives. You should be confident in yourself, stable, and have good self-awareness. It is important in the role that you have a well-developed pedagogical ability and a high degree of personal maturity. You have a good understanding of how children and adolescents absorb knowledge and the different conditions for learning.

The position is subject to background checks. Applicants must present an extract from the police criminal record before employment occurs.
